Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Register Nurse to work in the Central Lancashire District Nursing Services.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care. The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well‑being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled nursing care in a variety of settings as part of an innovative, dynamic district nursing team.
  • Work as part of the 24‑hour community nursing service, under the direction of the district nursing team leader, providing high quality holistic nursing care to patients.
  • Carry delegated responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence‑based nursing to patients in their own homes and other community settings.
  • Assume delegated responsibility for supervising the team in the absence of the district nursing team leader when required.
  • Work between the hours of 7.45 to 22.00 over a 7‑day period.
  • Participate in a robust induction and preceptorship package tailored to individual developmental needs, regular clinical supervision and access to a range of training opportunities.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered Nurses who are patient and family focused with excellent communication skills and an interest in community district nursing.
  • Flexible, self‑motivated individuals prepared to work within the outlined time frame.
