Senior Structural Engineer

Astute's Nuclear Team is partnering with a great structural engineering consultancy to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer for its Chorley site. This Senior Structural Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £45,000, 5% matched pension, and chartership guidance plus financial coverage. • Perform structural engineering work, including design, site work, and report writing
• Deliver conforming to relevant Codes of Practice, Design Guides, and the Building Safety Act 2022
• Produce detailed structural calculations, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation, specifications and risk assessments.
• Carry out site visits to ensure construction aligns with design specifications.
• Train and develop junior staff within the company in your areas of expertise
• Support the commercial aspects of projects, including cost estimates and budgeting.

• Minimum three years' experience in structural design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software.
• Strong understanding of Eurocode design for steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry.
• Experience in report writing and preparing structural calculations.
• Commercial awareness of project costs, budgets, and quotations.
