Overview
If you are an experienced Hire Desk Controller with excellent customer service skills, we have a great opportunity for you at our Welding Division in Chorley.
You will be responsible for the efficient hire and procurement of equipment made by our customers. This will include handling damage reports, off-hiring unwanted equipment and providing excellent customer service no matter how busy you are.
Our new welding division is growing every day. Now is the perfect opportunity for you to make your mark in the friendly team and grow with us.
This is a busy but rewarding role where you will be in regular contact with customers helping to manage their hire requirements and ensure they receive all the support they need. It is an important role with great career opportunities.

Responsibilities- Taking and progressing hire orders
- Making sure delivery promises are kept
- Dealing with customer stock enquiries
- Promptly off-hiring equipment on request
- Keeping the database constantly updated
- Identifying upselling opportunities
- Working closely with the tool hire and site supplies teams
- Knowledge of tool hire procedures
- Proficient in the use of IT system
- Ability to work under pressure
- A real team player
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with initiative
- Full UK Driving License preferable
Playing an important role in the delivery of first class service to our customers, we will ensure you receive all necessary training. This will include system and product training so you can always offer best advice. However, the team are always there to support you.
