Job DescriptionTitle: Child Nutrition Site Supervisor Assistant
Qualifications- Demonstrate aptitude for assigned responsibilities.
- Must be capable of rigorous physical labor and meet all qualifications as set forth in the attached physical job description.
- Demonstrate a cheerful attitude, good personal hygiene and ability to work with students, teachers, patrons, administrators and co-workers.
- Fulfill requirements for promptness and good attendance habits.

Job GoalTo ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school cafeteria for the ultimate health, comfort and benefit of the students.
Performance Responsibilities- Plans and directs the preparation and serving of all food in the cafeteria.
- Assumes responsibility for the security of food and supplies.
- Supervises the storage and care of foods and supplies.
- Assumes responsibility for the security of revenue from café-services until it has been turned over to proper authorities.
- Sees that menus developed by the child nutrition director are followed without deviation.
- Supervises and participates in the preparation and serving of food.
- Oversees and participates in the preparation and serving of food.
- Reports immediately to the Child Nutrition Director any accident occurring in the cafeteria.
- Determines the quantities of each food to be prepared daily.
- Assigns, directs, plans and supervises the work of cafeteria employees.
- Keeps employee time records.
- Plans work schedules; arranges for substitutes when required.
- Provides input to the Child Nutrition Director on the performance of all cafeteria employees for evaluations.
- Instructs new cafeteria employees in performing their assigned tasks.
- Directs sanitation procedures.
- Inspects the kitchen, cooking and mixing utensils and employees for cleanliness and sanitary purposes.
- Assumes responsibility for checking that all equipment in the cafeteria area is in safe, working condition and notifies the appropriate authority when repairs or replacements are needed.
- Maintains records on food and supplies received and used.
- Performs other such cafeteria duties as prescribed by the Director of Child Nutrition.
Job Description
In an eight hour workday, the employee must:
- Sit for 1 hour or more.

Job does not require employee's to use feet for repetitive movement; as in operating foot controls.
Job does require employee's use of hand for repetitive movement such as:

- Fine Manipulating
Employee's job requires:
- Being around moving machinery.
- Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity.
- Exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
