Head of Product About the Business

Diddly Squat Farm began as a modest 1,000-acre farm and has evolved into one of the most recognised farm shops in the UK. While the agricultural side remains lively and unpredictable, Lisa has been the creative force behind the farm shop, successfully leveraging the attention from Clarkson’s Farm to build a distinctive retail brand.

With a focus on quirky branding, and a commitment to local suppliers, Diddly Squat has grown from a simple on-site shop into a dynamic enterprise, complete with an e-commerce presence, unique merchandise, and exciting plans for the future.

Having assembled an exceptional team, stunning offices in the Cotswolds, and with impressive momentum, we’re now looking for fresh talent to join the journey. If you love bold ideas, fast-paced environments, and want to be part of something that’s rewriting the rules of retail, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As Head of Product, you will lead the product strategy and innovation/renovation roadmap for Diddly Squat Farm, working on hundreds of different products across multiple categories. The Head of Product will oversee all R&D / NPD and work closely with the rest of the Diddly team when it comes to sourcing, packaging, quality control and commercial.

What You’ll Do:
  • Define and own the product vision & strategy, aligning it with the brand’s overall mission / purpose and business strategy.
  • Lead the full New Product Development (NPD) pipeline from concept to launch, including idea generation, prototyping, testing (sensory, stability, shelf life, etc.), supplier selection, cost and margin modelling.
  • Ensure all products comply with regulatory, safety, quality, and labelling standards (nutritional claims, allergens, etc.)
  • Innovate in packaging / format / claims where appropriate, balancing sustainability, cost, consumer appeal, and brand integrity.
