Overview
Teaching Assistant, Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, up to £130 per day. Role is temporary and term-time only. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. You will provide classroom and community-based support to students, help deliver personalised learning plans, and contribute to a positive and inclusive educational environment.
Responsibilities- Provide one-on-one and small group support across various subjects, including maths, English, and science
- Assist with classwork, homework, and exam preparation to help students achieve their academic goals
- Help set and track individual student targets, delivering tailored interventions to meet student needs
- Support learning both in the classroom and during off-site activities, such as educational trips and community-based projects
- Act as a key worker for assigned pupils, providing emotional support and guidance
- Supervise lunch, breaks, and cover duties as required, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of students
- Promote safeguarding and student wellbeing, contributing to a positive and supportive school environment
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above), with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy
- Experience working with children or young people in education, care, or community settings, such as teaching, childcare, or youth work
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic digital tools, including educational software and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
- A positive, flexible, and team-oriented approach, with a commitment to supporting the needs of students and the school community
- Competitive daily rate of up to £130 per day
