Overview

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Chippewa County is accepting applications for Patrol Officer positions within the Sheriff s Department.

• Act as the official representative of the office of the Sheriff and accomplish the goals of the patrol division by detecting and preventing potential criminal activity through residential/business and building patrols.
• Enforce traffic laws to reduce property damage, personal injury or death resulting from traffic crashes.
• Foster good relations with the public to promote community, government and police partnerships, addressing the causes of crime, fear of crime, and other community issues.

• Prior Law Enforcement experience preferred.
• A valid driver s license is required.
• If the applicant does not have Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification upon hire, they may be hired as a Recruit Deputy while obtaining certification. The Recruit Deputy must enroll in the next available Law Enforcement Standards Board class.
