The Inventory & Returns Manager is responsible for managing Stinger’s inventory controls. This position monitors, tracks and records inventory levels at Stinger’s Chino, CA distribution facility. This position ensures proper inventory and returns processing occurs daily. This includes but is not limited to daily cycle counts, inventory audits, and returns processing. The Inventory & Returns Manager works within the company guidelines to support key performance metrics related to inventory accuracy.

This position assists in quality control management to ensure all inventory meets product development standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the Director of Distribution & Chino Warehouse Manager to ensure the most efficient returns process.
  • Develop and deliver returns process training program.
  • Perform cycle counts, spot counts, and year‑end inventory audit.
  • Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of returned products to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Prepares reports of effectiveness of established returns process measures.
  • Responsible for defective inventory management including reporting and creating negative POs.
  • Create and perform inventory transfers.
  • Responsible for unloading and inspecting product when received, signing off on bill of lading noting any damaged freight and handling claims when needed.
  • Work hand in hand with the warehouse manager to maintain the physical condition of the returns department by planning and implementing new design layouts based on the storage needs for the incoming & current product.
  • Organize and manage the upkeep of the warehouse including trash and cardboard.
  • Ensure products are located and distributed to internal and external consumers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with Quality management in inspecting inventory.
  • Assists with pulling and distributing products for work orders when needed.
  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
  • Prepares and schedules trainings to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
  • Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be highly self‑motivated, organized, and capable of effectively motivating others.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, and distribution.
  • Superior organizational, mechanical, and critical‑thinking abilities are required.
  • Must have sufficient computer skills required to manage and operate all relevant systems.
  • Certified Lift Truck operator (Reach truck, Cherry picker, Forklift).
  • Read and understand part number and product locations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of basic warehouse principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and documentation.
Require

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience
  • 10+ years of Warehouse experience
  • 5+ years of returns processing experience
  • OSHA Health and Safety Certification preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position manages the Returns Department and Inventory in our Chino, CA warehouse, including part‑time, full‑time and temporary employees.
Environmental/Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull objects weight up to 70lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled warehouse environment.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate warehouse and office equipment.
  • Eyesight to review and inspect pick lists and product numbers.
