The In-N-Out Burger Food Safety team has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Control Technician - Meat Operations Role, located in the Chino, CA warehouse*.
The Quality Control (QC) Technician is a position within the Food Safety and Quality Assurance team at IN-N-OUT BURGER (INOB). This position is directly responsible for conducting and maintaining production floor Quality Assurance and Food Safety monitoring and documentation, along with product and environmental sampling.
This role’s primary responsibilities are verifying that procured raw materials are within INOB’s required specifications, monitoring of product and equipment during production, documentation and recordkeeping through process control checks; and takes appropriate corrective actions to any problems, up to and including production stoppage.
The Quality Control Technician also works collaboratively with Meat operations and FSQA teams to ensure effective management and execution of food safety protocols. Lastly, the Technician is expected to perform all duties with pride and craftmanship, while fostering a culture of teamwork, cooperation, and dedication to helping others succeed.
* This role is based full time in office*
General Responsibilities
- Work in refrigerated production areas monitoring, documenting, verifying, and reviewing quality, food safety and sanitation standards, programs, equipment, and procedures. This includes HACCP (USDA), Process Control, SSOP, SOP, GMP, SPS, Food Défense, Supplier and Product Specifications, pest control and other pre-requisites
- Conduct sampling, testing, and inspecting (e.g. pre-operational and operational) of production processes, environment and products to ensure product quality, wholesomeness and sanitary conditions. Ensuring that only quality and wholesome products are available to be prepared and served to customers
- Calibrate and use sampling, weighing and temperature monitoring equipment to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Assist with monitoring warehouse and production facilities’ conditions and communicate any deviations to INOBs standards as it pertains to Food Safety, Security, and Quality. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory program requirements, executing SOPs, reporting food safety and quality concerns, including reporting any concerns or issues pertaining to Food Security.
- Continue professional development in Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Regulatory Affairs, Food Microbiology and other core technical competencies. This includes attending industry related workshops, including mandatory yearly trainings that will provide industry updates on regulations and processes.
- Perform other work-related job duties as required. This may include assisting or contributing to special projects.

- Schedule:
This position will require a rotating schedule for 5 days and 40 hours a week. The shifts will include a combination of the following times: 12:30A-9:00A, 4:30A-1:00P, 5:00A-1:30P, 6:00A-2:30P - Department needs will call for working outside of regularly scheduled days and times. Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.

- Salary Pay Range: $28.37 - $31.38/hour

- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Meat Science, Animal Science, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of Industry or Classroom experience required.
- HACCP certification preferred
- Preventive Controls for Human Food Trained preferred
