Manufacturing Production, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Scott Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a qualified Sheet Metal Helper who is willing to lend a helping hand and who is looking for growth within our company.
Responsibilities- Loading, unloading, and moving material as needed.
- Cleaning up the work area of hazardous materials.
- Operating tools (benders, pliers, snips, and shears, etc.) and machinery (e.g., forklifts) when needed.
- Performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Works closely with Sheet Metal Operators to complete projects and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Follow instructions from the supervisor or leadman to perform manual labor tasks.
- Assisting Sheet Metal Operators daily.
- Report issues with equipment or unsafe working conditions.
- Choosing the right sheet metals to use for the project based on plans and blueprints.
- Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with the required specifications.
- Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or for as-is installation.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role.
- Familiarity with industry health and safety standards
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and move over 25+ pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Physical strength and stamina.
- Ability to safely work in a fast-paced environment.
