Plant Manager - Chemical Distribution

MK Search is partnering with a well-established chemical distributor in Los Angeles, CA to identify a hands-on Plant Manager
. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to lead day-to-day plant operations, drive compliance excellence, and optimize safety, production, warehouse, and transportation performance.

This role will oversee a team of 16 employees
, including drivers and warehouse personnel
, and will serve as the operational lead for the facility, working directly with ownership/management.

• Lead the daily operations of a chemical production and distribution facility
• Manage and develop a team of 16 employees
  , including 5 drivers
  , warehouse associates, and operational support staff
• Oversee warehouse operations
  , inventory accuracy, shipping/receiving, and distribution workflows
• Direct chemical production activities
  , including scheduling, process management, and operational efficiency
• Manage plant fleet and transportation operations, ensuring compliance with DOT requirements
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA
  , City, and relevant regulatory agencies; serve as the primary site contact for audits/inspections
• Maintain a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), identify process improvements, and support operational scaling
• Collaborate with ownership/management to align plant operations with business goals and customer requirements

• 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry (manufacturing or distribution)
• Proven leadership background managing operations teams in a plant/warehouse/production environment
• Warehouse distribution operations
• Chemical handling protocols and safety practices
• Experience managing driver and fleet operations strongly preferred
• Ability to build processes, structure, and accountability in a growing operation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with ownership
