Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and financial reporting. This role plays a key leadership position in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while providing strategic insights to support business growth and decision‑making.

The Financial Controller will partner closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to maintain strong internal controls, streamline financial processes, and align financial practices with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    Develop, manage, and monitor annual budgets aligned with company objectives
  • Prepare rolling financial forecasts to assess future performance and resource needs
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts
  • Participate in strategic planning and support the development of long‑term financial goals
  • Partner with department leaders to promote budget ownership and accountability
Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, IFRS standards, and statutory regulations
  • Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices
  • Coordinate with external auditors during year‑end audits and address audit findings
Treasury, Cash Flow & Operations
  • Monitor and manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability
  • Oversee banking relationships, treasury operations, debt financing, and consolidations
  • Approve and track capital expenditures in accordance with company policies
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations, including shared expenses and loans
  • Oversee currency translations and foreign exchange risk for multinational operations
Inventory & Operational Oversight
  • Provide strategic oversight of Return Goods Authorizations (RGA) and inventory management
  • Analyze inventory and operational trends to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Partner with supply chain and operations leaders to align financial and operational strategies
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the finance team
  • Collaborate across departments including sales, marketing, operations, and supply chain
  • Act as a primary liaison with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, vendors, and banks
  • Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • 5-7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
    , preferably in consumer products or manufacturing environments
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational finance
  • Solid understanding of IFRS
    , internal controls, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with ERP systems
    , preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and mentoring finance teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin to support communication with international stakeholders
