The Mid-level Sales Engineer with 3-5 years of Consultive Sales Experience – Role for the company will manage our Manufacturing Representative Firms to provide technical support, presentations and timely quotes to support requirements for power quality and uninterrupted power supply solutions which are manufactured by the Company. The Sales Engineer must possess both technological and business skills. This position requires regular communication with engineering, OEMs, and end-users.

This position may require some travel and representation of our product at Trade Shows. It must be comfortable meeting with all levels of customer whether it is in person or in Web Meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a sales plan to grow our business.
  • Lead development and implementation of major account strategies.
  • Technical presentation of Company technology to Consulting Engineers.
  • Manage all sales representatives to create opportunities both direct and indirect, in all target market segments and appropriate territories to ensure adequate market coverage.
  • Establish relationships with major OEMs in the key vertical markets.
  • Make plans to engage new OEM accounts.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Coordinate with marketing, develop and manage strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Up to 50% travel is required.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but work experience and related background is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an applications engineer, sales engineer, in emergency power systems field is preferred.
  • Product or industry knowledge in power conditioning or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or mission critical emergency power systems.
  • Consultative selling experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) markets, especially in data center, medical, industrial, and government segments.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Critical thinking skills and a sense of curiosity.
  • Driven to get results.
