- Seeking (1) one Prek-2 Title 1 Reading Teacher full-time at Territoria Early Education Center for the school year. This is a full-time position with benefits. The Chino Valley Unified School District is on a 4-day work week Monday through Thursday.
Salary below includes $16,500 from Classroom Site Fund.

POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Prek-2 Teacher is responsible for the education of each pupil in his or her charge and for working with students, parents, other teachers and staff toward achieving the goals set forth in the CVUSD Mission Statement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, writes, and implements curriculum and instruction in a manner consistent with CVUSD’s Mission Statement, including understanding, modeling and fostering independent thinking skills, creative problem solving and abstract reasoning.
- Prepare and maintain long‑term and daily lesson plans describing objectives and activities as related to the Board adopted course of study and the job description.
- Evaluate the progress of each student on a regular and continuing basis.
- Record and maintain student attendance records and provide such pupil accounting data to the school office in accordance with school policy.
- Arrange for conferences with parents as needed.
- Maintain appropriate classroom discipline and order.
- Attend staff meetings and department meetings within building.
- Complete forms and/or provide data needed by the administration for reporting purposes and/or program planning.
- Report to parents on student progress via approved grade card procedures and form.
- Participate in curriculum and textbook adoption studies for the district, either by serving on a committee or by providing input as requested.
- Exercise sound professional judgment in relationships with students, as well as actions toward students, either in the discharge of normal duties or in disciplinary situations that might arise.
- Establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with co‑workers, as well as with supervisory personnel.
- Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning student academic and behavioral progress.
- Maintain good community relations and promote positive public relations as opportunities present themselves.
- Plan and prepare materials and lessons for use by substitute teachers.
- Work with special education teachers relative to students involved in part‑time or full‑time mainstreaming in academic or non‑academic settings.
QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Arizona Elementary with appropriate Reading Endorsement or approved areas.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Card.
EDUCATION AND
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in elementary education.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
