Head Pharmacy Technical Assistant

We are looking for a Head PTA to join our team. In addition to the duties required of a PTA, the Head PTA is responsible for managing the schedule based on pharmacy needs. They must implement the protocols required by the OPQ and maintain the appropriate standards. They are in charge of training new employees, and hiring with the pharmacist-owner. The candidate must have a short- to long-term vision for the management of the pharmacy in collaboration with the pharmacist-owner.

They must be able to maintain a conducive work environment and appropriate customer service. Management experience is an asset, as is experience as a PTA. • Manage the schedule based on pharmacy needs.
• Implement protocols required by OPQ and maintain appropriate standards.
• Train new employees and participate in hiring with the pharmacist-owner.
• Collaborate with the pharmacist-owner to plan short- and long-term pharmacy management.
• Maintain a conducive work environment and strong customer service.
• Demonstrate dedication to patients and support the pharmacy team in improving patient health and care in the community.

• Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient IT and data-entry skills

• Experience working in a retail pharmacy
• Experience as a pharmacy technical assistant
• Familiarity with Assyst-Rx software

Hiring Range / Échelle salariale à l’embauche: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. A candidate’s experience and knowledge as well as the geographical region in which the position is located may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position.
