Site Supervisor

Match Box Consulting Group is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our client, a growing civil construction partner delivering excavation, infrastructure, and environmental projects across BC. In this role, you will step into a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll lead crews, manage civil works, and keep projects running smoothly, working locally in the Lower Mainland with occasional travel to Kelowna and Northern BC. Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities, including earthworks, utilities, stormwater management, road construction, and site remediation.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate crews to meet project schedules and quality standards.
• Monitor adherence to safety protocols and actively promote a zero-incident culture on site.
• Conduct site inspections, ensure work meets engineering specifications, and address issues proactively.
• Manage equipment, materials, and subcontractors efficiently to maintain workflow and project budgets.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and documentation for compliance and project tracking.
• Liaise with project management, engineers, and clients
• Assist hands-on with tasks when necessary to maintain progress and quality standards.

• Minimum 3 years supervising civil construction crews on medium to large-scale projects.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in civil construction, including utilities, earthworks, and road building.
• Strong leadership and crew management skills, with the ability to organize teams and motivate staff.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety practices and quality control standards.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Experience with equipment scheduling, site logistics, and subcontractor coordination is a plus.
