Responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans to address needs and include individualized training assignments
- Provide instruction for Adult Basic Education/General Education Development program
- Administer necessary tests
- Evaluate inmates and provide necessary direction
- Maintain discipline and/or security of instructional area
- Attend education meetings, unit staff meetings and in‑service training
- Prepare required records and reports
- Maintain inventory and order supplies and materials needed
- Perform other education and/or related duties as requested by education administrators
- Perform other duties as required on assignment
Applicants who possess a Baccalaureate degree and an Adult Educator four‑year permit, and/or are eligible to receive a four‑year permit from the Ohio Department of Education, may be considered. Any current Teacher Certificate for an appropriate grade level to be assigned;
Teacher 1, 71721, must also have a baccalaureate degree or less.
