Security Officer

Job Description

Hedrick Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer to join our team. The role requires knowledge of all aspects of security, including patrolling, approved security responses, and reporting incidents/issues according to department procedures.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $25.00, based on education, certification, and experience. The position is a full‑time evening shift.

• Assist employees, patients, and visitors with parking needs; control entrances and exits to parking lots.
• Patrol the hospital campus and report safety and security issues per department procedures.
• Provide personal escorts and other routine security services to employees, patients, and visitors.

• Must be 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Private Officer Commission – training provided.
• Armed Private Officer Training – training provided.
• Experience:
  
  less than 1 year;
  Armed Private Officer, Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or Red Cross), Private Officer Commission.
• Strong customer‑service skills, positive attitude, willingness to work, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
