Warehouse Shipping Associate – Part‑time (Chicopee, MA)

Granite City Electric Supply Co., Inc. is the area’s premier electrical distributor with over 100 years of service. With 30 branches across the New England region and as the official distributor to the Boston Red Sox, we supply electrical contractors and residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

We are hiring a part‑time Warehouse Shipping Associate for our Chicopee location. The shift is Monday‑Friday, 12:00 PM‑8:30 PM. The Hourly rate is $21.00 per hour.

• Move material safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts or other devices.
• Accurately count, check, prepare, and locate items during receiving and shipping.
• Assist with inventory maintenance and department upkeep.
• Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input according to established procedures.
• Acquire and maintain current knowledge of GCE policies, general product knowledge, and participate in training and meetings as requested.
• Act in a helpful and cooperative manner toward customers and co‑workers.
• Participate in processes and programs that promote a safe work environment.
• Acquire a working knowledge of the Eclipse software support system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Safe driving and forklift operator courses desirable.
• Knowledge of forklift or stand‑up forklift operations and warehouse equipment preferred.
• Basic computer and office suite knowledge, especially Excel, with the ability to learn.
• Equivalent education or experience may substitute for any above.

• Lifting 70–125 lbs on a repetitive basis.
• Walking/standing all day; bending and stooping frequently.
