MDS Nurse

Full-time MDS Nurse needed at Skilled Nursing Facility in Chicopee, MA area

Salary range: $35 - $60 hourly

MDS Nurse Job Duties:

• Ensure timely and accurate MDS assessments, verifying compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines per state guidelines.

• Supervise MDS data entry and transmission and resolve issues with data and validation.

• Prepare and present reports to the Director of Nursing (DON) and nursing leadership team

• Provide feedback and address operational concerns

• Participate in facility surveys and audits.

• Assist with audit responses and maintain regulatory compliance.

• Stay updated on Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

• Support MDS-related quality improvement initiatives.

MDS Nurse Job Requirements

• Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (RN, BSN, or LPN)

• Current/active RN or LPN license

• Minimum 3 years clinical experience in long-term care

• Strong clinical assessment skills

• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations
