District Retail Manager (Sales)

The District Manager is responsible for leading retail teams in meeting and exceeding sales and profitability goals throughout Massachusetts, ensuring exceptional service delivery to our customers and driving operational excellence. This position must ensure that all locations operate in accordance with Company policies and procedures as well as compliance with applicable state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver business results through analysis (operations, staff, financial performance) and action planning to build on success and/or course correct.
  • Maximize sales by monitoring industry trends, market data; track key performance indicators and apply analysis to merchandising strategies.
  • Attract, hire, develop and retain high performance teams to meet operational and talent development goals.
  • Drive operational excellence through monitoring performance and consistently follow-up to ensure safety, operational, sales and brand standards are delivered.
  • Work in partnership with corporate departments to coordinate and advertise in-store events, including establishing community partnerships; maximize event revenue and efficiency by tracking key performance indicators and applying analysis to improve strategies. Assist with content creation for social media.
  • Lead effective store visits focused on driving behaviors to enable the team to consistently deliver results in all areas of the business.
  • Identify and use multiple ways to achieve goals when confronted with obstacles, plan for contingencies.
  • Identify and solve problems with sustainable solutions.
  • Set clear targets for operational standards and facility management; work closely with Asset Protection to ensure employee and patron safety within the dispensaries.
  • Build and maintain an inclusive and collaborative work environment, create a culture that embraces teamwork. Set clear goals and expectations, have intentional conversations, and hold team accountable to deliver sales results, store operations, and visual standards.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of the external market and competition.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including patrons, vendors, and community partners.
  • Maintains comprehensive understanding of industry rules and regulations related to retail in order to uphold compliance standards.
