Overview
Co-Response Crisis Clinician, full-time, on site in Chicopee, MA. Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a 2nd Shift Co-Response Crisis Clinician (Master's Level, Licensed or Licensed Eligible) to join our team. The Co-Response Clinician is a member of the CHD Mobile Crisis Team and regionally embedded within Holyoke, MA Police Departments.
- You will support Police Departments' speedy and efficient response to behavioral health calls and follow-ups.
- The Clinician provides services as a member of both the CHD Adult Mobile Crisis Intervention (AMCI) and Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention (YMCI) programs, and the conjoined CBHC Outpatient Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Programs.
- Co-response clinicians will provide crisis triage, evaluations, disposition recommendations, follow-up interventions, stabilization planning, and referral planning for immediate resources.
- Clinicians will assess needs, determine least restrictive level of care, and arrange treatment transition and engagement.
- They will know and be able to recommend and/or utilize the breadth of internal agency and external community resources in intervention planning.
- Evaluations will occur in the communities served and are expected to be in a wide variety of settings. The clinician will have space in the Police Departments to conduct evaluations, team-build with PD staff, and be available as quickly as possible to support PD.
- Conduct crisis triage, evaluations, and disposition recommendations.
- Provide follow-up interventions and stabilization planning.
- Plan referrals and engage with immediate community resources.
- Coordinate with police departments to support rapid behavioral health response.
- Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
- LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC license required.
- Experience with individual, family and group therapy, crisis intervention, and substance use preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish individuals encouraged to apply.
- Ability to pass a driving record and background screen.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about the work.
- Self-directed, quick learner with strong written skills and experience with Electronic Health Record management.
- Ability to demonstrate high-level therapeutic engagement with diverse clients and fidelity to evidence-based practices.
- Good diagnostic skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
competitive rate of $31.25/hr differential provided for working 2nd shift and for bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates.
