Boys & Girls Club of Chicopee in Chicopee, MA is looking to hire a part-time Membership Desk Associate. This administrative position at our Youth Site typically works Monday - Friday 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Schedule is subject to change based on growth of organizational needs.
This nonprofit program administrative position earns an hourly salary of $16.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience. What does a Membership Desk Associate do?As a Membership Desk Associate, you are responsible for effectively executing our nonprofit's daily Membership Desk operations at one of our two sites, as assigned, with a strong emphasis on clerical functions and customer service. You coordinate many moving parts to create a safe, welcoming environment for members, parents and visitors. You serve as the primary contact for customer service visits, field questions, and communicate pertinent information to the team.
You act as the liaison between program parents and our team to ensure Membership Desk and Lobby operations support organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
The safety of our members and staff is the top priority. You are on the lookout for hazards or dangerous situations, ensure visitors follow safety policies, and intervene quickly if needed. You commit to continual improvement by attending regular training to keep your knowledge fresh and become the best resource for our members. You take pride in performing this administrative role and making a difference in children’s lives.
QualificationsFor a Membership Desk Associate:
- 18+ years old
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of equivalent education, training and work experience as an office assistant, front desk associate, administrative assistant or related field
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to deal with the general public in a friendly, professional manner
- Self-motivated and directed, able to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer literacy including database management
- Valid Driver's License
- Willingness to comply with company policy regarding background checks
