LHH is working with a leading supplier of mission-critical, precision-machined components used in the Aerospace industry who is looking for an Accounting Office Manager to join their team in Chicopee, MA! This is a blended role supporting both office operations and core accounting functions. You’ll be a go‑to resource on site, trusted to keep the office running smoothly while supporting accounting processes across AP/AR, reporting, and audits.
- 50% Accounting
- 50% Office Administration
- Handle AP/AR, invoicing, cash applications, customer payments
- Maintain accurate aging reports & ensure compliance with internal controls
- Review invoices against POs & packing slips; resolve discrepancies
- Send monthly customer statements & assist with collections
- Support month‑end close for AR/AP and weekly cash‑flow needs
- Prepare credit applications & manage access to payment portals
- Manage front office operations, visitors, calls & supplies
- Coordinate IT vendor visits for phones, copiers, printers
- Handle insurance/vehicle registrations & driver changes
- Manage vendor relationships (uniform services, facility cleaning, safety supplies, etc.)
- Liaise with landlord for onsite property needs
Personality, professionalism, and adaptability are key!
Ideal Experience- Exposure to a general office environment
- 3–5 years of accounting experience (AR/AP, reconciliations, audit support)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working onsite
- Proficiency with MS Office; experience with ERP/accounting systems a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work cross‑functionally
- High school diploma or GED required
