(Advanced Practitioner) Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric & NICU Focus (Full-Time, Varied)
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. The NP will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis, psychosocial assessment, and management of health‑illness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients, families, students, and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
CompensationRange: $67.92 – $91.69 per hour (rate based on applicable experience)
Shift: Variable; length: 12 hours; days off:
Variable; sign‑on bonus: up to $5,000; hours per pay period: 72.
The NP will provide direct patient care, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in patient education, and maintain documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. The NP will function independently in a pediatric and NICU setting, perform intubations, and place emergency umbilical lines as needed.
Minimum Requirements- Graduate of a Family Nurse Practitioner program or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program (new graduates may be considered with prior experience in pediatrics and/or NICU).
- Bilingual in Spanish.
- Acute‑care pediatric and/or NICU experience.
- Experience with intubation and placing emergency umbilical lines.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a PNP (Pediatric) specialty.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing (within 3 months of hire).
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application (within 3 months of hire).
- Meets Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare.
- Current AHA-HCP CPR recognition.
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff office and Finance Office.
- NRP recognition within 6 months of hire.
- PALS recognition within 6 months of hire.
