Summary
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the day‑to‑day operations of the branch and is acting manager in the absence of the Branch Manager. The role includes inventory management, accounts payable, vendor returns, equipment and vehicles, and the overall safety of the branch.
What You'll Do- Assist in the day‑to‑day operations of the branch and act as manager in the absence of the Branch Manager.
- Manage inventory including cycle counting, daily stock replenishment, inventory adjustments, and managing stocking codes and locations.
- Ensure branch safety by reporting, monitoring, and correcting safety hazards.
- Provide customer service at the counter or over the phone.
- Maintain company vehicles by scheduling maintenance and repairs.
- Assist the Branch Manager with coaching and supporting employees.
- Train employees.
- Provide sales support through quotations.
- Maintain a clean and organized branch.
- Other duties as assigned.

- 1+ years of branch experience with increasing levels of responsibility is preferred.
- High School or GED – required.
- Effective communication with co‑workers and customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and the Web.
- Electrical product knowledge and general understanding of inventory management.
- Sales and service oriented, self‑motivated, dependable, with excellent leadership and customer service skills.

For the state of California only, the pay range is $25.00 to $31.00, depending upon qualifications, experience, and other considerations permitted by law. Commission/Bonus Plan:
