Description

Summary:

Berberian Nut Company is seeking a Certified Applicator Lead to oversee fumigation activities and ensure adherence to fumigant label requirements and regulatory standards. The Certified Applicator Lead supervises critical fumigation phases, coordinates schedules with inventory needs, and supports warehouse operations while driving safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement through leadership and training.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fumigation activities and ensure adherence to fumigant label requirements and treatment protocols.
  • Align fumigation schedules with warehouse operations and inventory movement.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Train and mentor employees on fumigation, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
  • Enforce safety protocols and lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize product flow and standardize procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Applicator License (DPR) by the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) with ability to supervise fumigation in compliance with regulations.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License.
  • Experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, PPE, SCBA procedures, and chemical handling.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Flexible schedule; able to work nights, weekends, and rotating shifts.
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work involves office, shop, and field environments with exposure to chemicals, moving parts, and varying weather; PPE required.
