Under the direction of the HR Director, the Human Resources Coordinator assists with the administration of the day‑to‑day operations of the human resources functions and duties. Assists in maintaining the human resource database and all employee records and files, informs new employees of HR policies and programs as needed, performs general office support functions, assists area personnel as necessary, and assists with payroll functions.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Ensures accurate data entry from recruiting platform into the Paycor system
- Plans, prepares, coordinates, and conducts the new hire intake process, including all post‑offer, pre‑employment paperwork, screenings, and new hire orientations
- Conducts employee benefit enrollment meetings
- Conducts employee exit interviews
- Conducts the recruiting effort and posting of positions
- Travels to various YFC facilities as needed (agency vehicle provided)
- Verifies employee timesheets each pay period and assists with payroll as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or equivalent
- Previous experience in California human resources preferred
- Additional related training preferred
- Basic understanding of human resource functions including California employment law
- Knowledge of all related computer applications in a Windows‑based environment
- California driver license and clean driving record
The estimated base pay for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 an hour; additional individual compensation may be available. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefit program is available for the qualifying position.
