Responsibilities- Maintain current demographic and insurance information in the computer system and patient charts.
- Perform office opening procedures, including petty cash balancing and co‑pay/co‑insurance collection.
- Assist patients as needed and provide primary service to patients in the lobby.
- Backup other front office personnel on phones and related duties.
- Conduct general check‑in procedures and greet patients.
- High School Diploma with 1‑2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with computer systems and programs.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to multitask and express compassion and kindness to patients.
- Maintain a professional and upbeat attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and customer‑relations experience.
- Ability to work effectively with medical staff, management, authorizations, external agencies, and patients.
- Require sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
- Experience in a normal busy office environment with much patient contact.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required.
