Salary and CompensationAnnual salary range $75,000 to $95,000, with incentive opportunities for performance.
Position SummaryThe Branch Manager directs and coordinates branch activities personally or through staff to attain branch goals, including identifying financial solutions, delivering customer service, maintaining proper credit quality, and managing risk. The role maintains a customer-driven financial solutions and service environment.
Major Responsibilities- Conduct daily team huddles at the beginning and end of each day.
- Proactively plan, control and direct branch activities toward attaining branch goals, including profiling, tele-consulting and business calling efforts.
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly service to customers.
- Ensure branch follows all operating and compliance guidelines including adhering to the Operational Loss Policy.
- Ensure branch successfully passes annual reviews and audits.
- Monitor loans, deposits, referrals to business partners, and fee income production.
- Develop and implement branch specific marketing plans.
- Profile existing customers to maintain and expand banking relationships; profile prospective customers to develop new business; maintain a database of active prospects.
- Partner with Business Banking Officer to develop a local area business development program.
- Partner with CRA/Fair Lending Officer on business opportunities related to community development and CRA lending.
- Work with Human Resources to determine recruitment sources.
- Administer HR policies and procedures and is responsible for training and developing staff.
- Make consumer and small business loans within lending authority; approve credits and overdrafts within overdraft authority.
- Operate within assigned annual budget guidelines and expense controls.
- Maintain a professional working relationship with store’s management to create a team effort (in-Store branch).
- Actively manage and adhere to PA and aisle visitation schedules (in-Store branch).
- Represent Bank in community and civic affairs.
- Conduct branch sales meetings.
- Appoint an officer or senior staff member to assume branch responsibilities when both Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager are absent.
- Ensure branch compliance with audit and regulatory procedures; adhere to compliance guidelines.
- Maintain current understanding and comply with regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, suspicious activity reporting, Reg B/Fair Lending, Reg Z/Truth in Lending, Reg DD/Truth in Savings, Expedited Funds Availability Act, Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act, Community Reinvestment Act and the SAFE Act.
- Maintain broad knowledge of banking regulations related to deposit and consumer lending products.
- Ensure branch FTE is properly allocated according to customer visitation patterns.
- Perform other work‑related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree preferred.
- Appropriate management experience required.
- Ability to lead and direct others.
- Proven successful sales experience.
- Outbound business calling experience preferred.
- Experience in a personal banker role preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of consumer and commercial lending.
- Ability to be registered as a mortgage loan originator (MLO) in the Nationwide Mortgage License System and Registry (NMLS).
- Ability to utilize personal computers and Windows‑based programs.
- Maintain current understanding of Bank policies and procedures in compliance with all federal and state laws, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (SARs, CIP, OFAC), Information Security (GLBA), Identity Theft Red Flags, Financial Elder Abuse Reporting, and any other applicable regulations specific to job duties.
- Grade is based on deposit balance, number of households, teller transaction and loan balance.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
