Salary- Lecturer A/2 Full‑Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month
- Lecturer B/3 Full‑Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,221 – $13,224 per month
- Lecturer C/4 Full‑Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,825 – $14,523 per month
- Lecturer D/5 Full‑Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8,593 – $15,211 per month
Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.

Position SummaryThe Department of Public Health and Health Services Administration in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026‑27 academic year. The department is particularly interested in instructors to teach the following courses:
- Laws, Ethics and Regulations in Health Services (PHHA 432)
- Healthcare Law (PHHA 638)
- International Health (PHHA 323)
- Environmental Health (PHHA 362)
- Drugs in Our Society (PHHA 370)
- Healthcare Quality Management (PHHA 434)
Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
Minimum QualificationsThe minimum qualifications for Laws, Ethics and Regulations in Health Services (PHHA 432) and Healthcare Law (PHHA 638) are a JD, Master of Legal Studies or PhD in Law or closely related discipline, and related professional experience.
The minimum education requirement for all other lecturer appointments is a master’s degree in a health‑related field relevant to the teaching assignment or extensive experience and specialization related to the teaching assignments. For courses in the professional process and core categories of the curriculum, lecturers must have current professional experience performing the process being taught.
Preferred QualificationsPreference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially those with positive student evaluations of teaching; licenses or credentials related to the teaching assignment.
ResponsibilitiesLecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the area of teaching undergraduate courses. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
