Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8,593 – $15,211 per month

Position SummaryThe Concrete Industry Management Program in College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Successful candidates will be able to teach a range of courses related to the concrete industry and its management principles. The program’s curriculum is intended to prepare professionals for the concrete industry who have strong fundamental knowledge of concrete technology, management, safety, and business administration along with teamwork and life‑long learning skills.
California State University, Chico is seeking faculty who are competent in their field, collaborative with colleagues and staff, and committed to student success. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.
The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a 4-year degree in either Concrete Industry Management, Construction Management, or other job‑related fields plus a minimum of 3 years concrete/materials/construction industry experience.
Preferred QualificationsJob experience related to curriculum subjects preferred. ACI, NRMCA, ASTM certifications a plus.
ResponsibilitiesLecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching in the classroom and in a laboratory environment. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
