We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented Project Engineer to support a major $18M apartment renovation project in Chico, CA
. This is a fully on‑site role where you will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to help drive project success from preconstruction through completion.

Key Responsibilities- Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project coordination
- Review and process submittals, RFIs, and subcontractor change orders
- Assist with project documentation, tracking, and reporting
- Help manage subcontractors and self‑perform craft workers on‑site
- Review construction plans, specifications, and product data
- Participate in and help lead preconstruction and quality control meetings
- Ensure project documentation and compliance standards are maintained
- Support scheduling, cost control, and communication between stakeholders
- Experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar construction role
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced job site environment
- Proactive, team‑oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Construction Management degree or related field is a plus (not required)
- Experience on multifamily or large‑scale renovation projects is beneficial
