Job/Department Summary:

This position, under general supervision will:
- Support the chair of the two departments (JOUR and MADT) on the CSU, Chico campus;
- Work independently to provide essential front-line administrative support to two department's (JOUR and MADT) faculty and students;
- Provide oversight of daily operation;
- Maintain confidentiality of personnel matters;

Other duties include administrative, faculty and student support, advisory board and student organization support and public contact.

Required Education and Experience:

This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with three years of related office work experience.

Preferences:

Preference may be given to applicants with the following as they may be considered specialized skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Recent, relevant work experience using any of the following:
    • Data Management and/or Scheduling Software.
    • Experience with Human Resources data systems.
    • Budget management or accounting software.
    • Data Management tools.
Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer:
Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm

CSU Classification Salary Range: $52,404 (Step
1) - $76,344 (Step 20) per year.
