Emergency Response Team Officer (Fire & Security)
Location:
Goodwood
Pay Rate: £31,300 per annum rising to £32,600 from 1st April 2026.
Hours:
12‑hour shifts (days/night/weekends) average 42 hours per week plus overtime opportunities.

TrainingSuccessful applicants will complete a full training package, fully funded by Mitie.
- First Response Emergency Care (FREC
3) – 5 days - Medical Gases (Oxygen & Entonox) – 2 days (or integrated within FREC
3) - Basic Fire Training – 2 days
- Breathing Apparatus Training – 5 days

RoleAs an Emergency Response Team Officer, you will play a key part in maintaining safety and security across a major client site.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a visible and proactive security presence
- Responding quickly and effectively to fires, first aid incidents, and environmental emergencies
- Maintaining and inspecting emergency equipment to operational standards
- Conducting internal and external patrols, searches, and incident reporting
- Supporting compliance with health, safety, and security policies
Essential Requirements:
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Valid SIA front line licence (fully funded)
- Ability to pass a medical and fitness test (including suitability for breathing apparatus)
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Ability to pass security vetting and random drug/alcohol testing
- Basic/intermediate IT skills
Desirable:
- FREC 3 medical qualification (if already held)
Please note:
due to breathing apparatus requirements, candidates must remain clean‑shaven or maintain a tightly trimmed goatee‑style beard to ensure equipment compatibility.
