Production Team Leader

The Role

As Production Supervisor, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day production activities, ensuring output meets customer requirements while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, delivery and cost. You’ll play a key role in embedding lean manufacturing principles and fostering a positive, engaged team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a production team, promoting standardised work, efficient flow and cellular manufacturing principles
• Act as a visible and motivating leader, maintaining strong morale and addressing performance or engagement issues proactively
• Ensure customer demand is met by identifying and resolving issues that impact production flow, cycle times or quality
• Manage individual and team performance, providing coaching, feedback and corrective action where required
• Set and communicate clear targets across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)
• Run daily team briefings, using performance boards to review results, priorities and agreed countermeasures
• Maintain visual management systems, ensuring boards, standard work and production data are accurate and up to date
• Ensure real-time, line-side documentation is completed and maintained, including scrap, quality and output records
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, problem solving, 5S and engineering changes, engaging the team throughout

About You

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
• Confident communicator with the ability to motivate, challenge and develop others
• Organised, proactive and comfortable working with performance data
