Overview
CDL A Tanker Truck Driver
Location:
Chicago, IL, USA
Pay: $1200.00 - $1800.00 weekly
Position OverviewDrivers run regional liquid bulk loads, averaging 2,200–2,500 miles per week. Home time options are either 7–10 days out or 10–14 days out, each followed by a 34-hour reset s role is ideal for drivers comfortable with tanker duties and heavy Haz Mat freight.
Compensation and Pay- Weekly pay: $1200–$1800 average
- Starting pay: .60 CPM – .67 CPM
- Paid weekly every Friday
- Paid time off
- Health and vision benefits
- 7–10 or 10-14 days out
- 34‑hour reset completed at home
- 2019 and newer trucks, manual and automatic (must be able to operate manual)
- Fleet includes Mack, Freightliner, International, Volvo
- Average tractor age approximately 3 years
- Liquid bulk tanker freight
- 100 percent touch freight
- Approximately 75 percent Haz Mat
- Physical, higher‑skill work (not basic dry van)
- Valid Class A CDL
- 6 months liquid tanker experience or 24 months recent tractor‑trailer experience
- Ability to operate manual shift trucks
- Tanker endorsement required
- Haz Mat endorsement required
- TWIC required
- Passport preferred
