The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communication with customers, vendors and coworkers. This role requires multitasking ability and strong organizational skills. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with all production departments to ensure the customer’s expectations are met. The role calls for a high degree of professionalism, good conflict management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.

The ability to prioritize incoming work orders, delegate work assignments and take initiative to ensure efficiency and productivity are key.

• Verify inventory of ISO containers on property
• Verify tanks have corresponding orders and interchange to be reconciled.
• Billing and invoice responsibilities
• Delegation of lift operator work assignments as needed
• Uses customer-oriented telephone etiquette to obtain information. Handles customer orders and records customer requirements on each call or email. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Communicates to the Tank Wash Department of all dirty tanks needing to be cleaned.
• Confirm all cleaning certificates are scanned into the system from outside carrier clean tanks inbounded.
• Communicates and coordinates with vendors, customers and intercompany departments via email or phone. Responds effectively to customer complaints.
• Is team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
• Efficiently operates terminal and enters data.
• Coordinate equipment needs per loading requirements.
• Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Has effective organizational skills. Keeps files and work area organized.
• Ability to effectively handle escalations and time-critical issues. Perform transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure that the department is operated in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in transportation or logistics field a plus
• Bilingual Preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
