The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operational performance of ADA paratransit services, including call center operations, scheduling, dispatching and real‑time service delivery. The role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards of customer service, operational efficiency, and service reliability. The Operations Manager leads front‑line operational teams and serves as a key liaison between operations, compliance, technology and leadership.
Operations& Service Delivery
Oversee daily paratransit call center, scheduling, and dispatch operations to ensure efficient, on‑time, ADA‑compliant service.
Staff Leadership & ManagementLead and manage schedulers, dispatchers, and call center staff to ensure coverage, performance, and service quality.
Compliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure full compliance with all FTA, DOT, and ADA paratransit requirements and reporting standards.
Technology & SystemsUtilize Trapeze and related systems to support scheduling, dispatch, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Customer ExperienceMaintain high customer service standards and resolve escalated issues to improve rider satisfaction and service outcomes.
Required Qualifications- Strong understanding of applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including FTA, DOT, and ADA paratransit requirements
. - Proven experience managing call center, scheduling, and dispatch operations in a paratransit or demand‑response environment.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing and leading schedulers and dispatchers
. - Proficiency in Trapeze scheduling and dispatch software
. - Knowledge of telephone and mobile communications systems used in transit operations.
- Strong familiarity with the geography and street network of the service area, including major trip generators, medical facilities, schools, employment centers, and transfer points.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Supervisory or management experience in ADA paratransit, demand‑response, or public transit operations.
- Experience working with brokered services or third‑party mobility providers.
- Familiarity with performance metrics such as on‑time performance, call center KPIs, trip denials, and service reliability.
