Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely communication with customers, vendors and coworkers. This role requires multitasking, organizational skills, professionalism, conflict management, and the ability to perform well under pressure. The coordinator prioritizes incoming work orders, delegates assignments, and takes initiative to ensure efficiency and productivity.

• Verify inventory of ISO containers on property.
• Verify tanks have corresponding orders and interchange to be reconciled.
• Billing and invoice responsibilities.
• Delegate lift operator work assignments as needed.
• Use customer-oriented telephone etiquette to obtain information; handle orders and record requirements on each call or email; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Communicate to the Tank Wash Department of all dirty tanks needing cleaning.
• Confirm all cleaning certificates are scanned into the system from outside carrier clean tanks inbounded.
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors, customers and intercompany departments via email or phone; respond effectively to customer complaints.
• Team-oriented and works collaboratively to achieve team goals.
• Efficiently operate terminal and enter data.
• Coordinate equipment needs per loading requirements.
• Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Effective organizational skills; keep files and work area organized.
• Handle escalations and time-critical issues; perform transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain proper attendance and punctuality to ensure department efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in transportation or logistics field a plus.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
