Overview
A rapidly growing fintech organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their payments and identity platform team. This company partners with banks and credit unions to prevent fraud, verify digital identities, and enable secure digital payments across the U.S. You will play a key role in building the backend systems that power critical financial infrastructure used at scale.
Team FocusThis team is focused on developing highly scalable microservices and cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. The environment is highly collaborative and fast-paced, with a strong emphasis on performance, security, and reliability. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term initiatives and a clear path to full-time conversion.
Hybrid Schedule3 days onsite in Chicago, IL (60606)
Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience building REST APIs and microservices
- Hands‑on experience with Postgre
SQL and/or No
SQL databases - Experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable application design
- Experience working in fintech, payments, or highly regulated environments is a plus
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with clear path to full-time conversion
