Power BI Developer - Microsoft Fabric & Direct Lake (Retail)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with a strong background in the retail industry and hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Direct Lake, and modern data architecture. This role will be responsible for developing scalable, high-performance BI solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across merchandising, supply chain, and store operations.

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models tailored to retail KPIs
• Develop optimized DAX calculations, data models, and visuals to provide actionable insights for business users
• Implement performance tuning and best practices for enterprise BI environments
• Build and optimize Direct Lake datasets for high-volume retail datasets (sales, inventory, POS, promotions)
• Leverage Fabric features such as One Lake and Lakehouse modeling to modernize reporting architecture
• Create reusable datasets and self‑service BI capabilities for cross‑functional teams

• 3-5 years of hands‑on Power BI development experience
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling for large‑scale analytical solutions
• Strong SQL experience and familiarity with data warehousing concepts (Star/Snowflake schema)
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Direct Lake)

• Experience in the retail industry
• Background in performance optimization for large Direct Lake datasets
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and CI/CD for Power BI/Fabric
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and collaborative
