Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack (Java, Spring Boot, AWS) - Global Payment Network

You will join our Digital Payments Domain within the Global Payment Network Technology Organization. As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing industry‑leading performance engineering best practices across our digital payments platform and associated systems.

• Conduct industry benchmarking, mentoring engineering teams on scalability and performance engineering.
• Serve as an engineering leader and designer of cross‑functional systems to manage peak traffic volumes while ensuring optimal cloud infrastructure cost efficiency.
• Participate in Level 2/3 support escalation rotations, leading technical RCA to transform system outages into permanent architectural improvements.

• Collaborate across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full‑stack development tools and technologies.
• Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, mentoring community members.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.
• Utilize programming languages and technologies such as JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, Type Script, SQL, Python, Go, Open Source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply).

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
  JavaScript, Java, Type Script, SQL, Python, or Go.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience with open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
