Senior Software Engineer - Global Payment Network

Join Capital One as a Senior Software Engineer in our Global Payment Network. We’re looking for Back End Software Engineers passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies to solve complex business problems.

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full‑stack development tools and technologies.
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, and mentoring other members of the engineering community through internal and external technology communities.
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust chip‑based solutions that drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.

  Java, Python, SQL, , Go and Scala, Open Source RDBMS and No
  
  SQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following:
  Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
• 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.

Chicago, IL‍ $144,200 - $164,600

McLean, VA‍ $158,600 - $181,000

Riverwoods, IL‍ $144,200 - $164,600

Other locations: salary range will be offered in the individual offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI).
