Misericordia Heart of Mercy invites you to join their community to support individuals with mild to profound developmental disabilities. The Supported Employment Direct Support Professional (DSP) role helps participants increase independence through community employment opportunities.
About MisericordiaMisericordia Heart of Mercy is a home to over 600 children and adults with mild to profound developmental disabilities, offering a continuum of care that maximizes potential and fosters community integration.
Job Responsibilities• Drive participants to employment sites and community activities.
• Support participants in community-based opportunities.
• Interact with employers, public, and community members with professionalism.
• Provide assistance in daily living and work tasks as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and comfortable driving vehicles of all sizes.
- Minimum of one year experience supporting persons with intellectual disabilities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Confidence interacting with community members off campus.
- Professional representation of Misericordia values.
- Strong organizational and self‑directed skills.
- Flexibility and strong collaboration with CDS staff.
- Commitment to ensuring residents’ highest quality of life.
- Good standing with Misericordia policies.
Full‑Time
:
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑4:00 pm (hours may vary).
Pay: $20.00‑$21.00 per hour.
