LSSI is hiring a full-time Parent Peer Specialist. Under supervision of the Team Supervisor, the role involves working with the Parent Specialist to engage with parents, listen empathically, answer questions, coach, and support parent/child contact. The role includes engaging parents in Generation
PMTO, an evidence-based program proven to transform family lives, and providing ongoing parent support.
- Monday 11:00am to 7:00pm
- Tuesday 11:00am to 7:00pm
- Wednesday 9:00am to 5:00pm
- Thursday 11:00am to 7:00pm
- Friday 11:00am to 7:00pm

- Develop individualized family treatment plans with the team
- Organize and deliver Generation
PMTO, ensuring parent engagement and skill development - Supervise and facilitate parent-child contact, including virtual and in-person visits
- Accurately complete reports and documentation as required
- Maintain professional, respectful, and ethical behavior towards clients, families, and colleagues
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s degree preferred - Participation in Generation
PMTO training and certification - Experience with child welfare or parenting
- Ability to engage parents both virtually and in person
- Excellent communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Valid Illinois driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Valid IL liability insurance coverage
