Overview

Experienced Water/Fire/Mold Technician Chicago

Servpro is a leading remediation and restoration company that provides services to both residential and commercial clients.

Experienced Water/Fire/Mold Technicians will perform and support remediation and restoration services of fire damage, water damage, mold damage, storm damage, and commercial services. This can include demolition, cleaning, repairs, and other labor intensive activities.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to service calls as needed
  • Inventory and loading of equipment and supplies into vehicles
  • Maintain clean work vehicles, warehouse, equipment, and related
  • Prepare sites for work activities
  • Set up staging area and equipment for projects
  • Perform remediation/restoration process including cleanups and equipment breakdowns
  • Perform demolition and cleaning tasks
  • Understand and follow safety and risk management guidelines
  • Support other personnel and perform ad-hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliable
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Preferred - Prior experience in fire and water restoration, mold remediation, or related
  • Must be able to work some nights, weekends and participate in a rotating on-call schedule
  • Estimating experience or knowledge of Xactimate software a plus
  • Experience with drywall or other construction trades a plus
  • Must possess valid IL Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, perform at ceiling heights and work in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces and attics).
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time and repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Willingness to work with cleaning products and chemicals.
Compensation

Salary and commission is highly competitive and will be based upon experience and ability.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
