* ** JOB DESCRIPTION** - Plans layout and wiring of any array of various telecommunications systems and equipment.

- Installs, repairs, modifies, and rearranges new and/or existing systems and equipment to satisfy department requests for telephone and data services.

- Minimizes the waste of materials in providing such services and avoids unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable work consistent with established standards, specifications and local electrical codes applied to telecommunications.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
** REQUIRED DEGREE
** Successful completion of an approved and recognized apprenticeship program pursuant to attaining Journeyman status as a Telecommunications Electrician.
