- Perform detailed site surveys, installation, integration, and testing of customer premise fiber systems and routers with minimum supervision.
- Master installation skills and testing per Telco Standards and perform all Level IV duties with high competence and accuracy.
- Install and test a wide variety of fiber system equipment, including Ciena, Fujitsu, Cisco, Nortel, Nokia, DELL, Juniper, and more.
- Read and follow Methods of Procedure, order specifications, floor plans, equipment, and wiring documentation.
- Ensure accuracy of all documentation and maintain adherence to system update requirements of company/customer installation documents.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support testing, turn‑up, and integration activities.
- Resolve project‑related issues using defined processes and generate MOPs, high‑risk activity reports, work schedules, test records, and project completion reports.
- Perform in‑process and final quality audits to ensure all items meet or exceed industry and customer standards.
- Lead quality validation of work and other duties as requested.
- Physically place, remove, or modify working and non‑working equipment.
- Install cable trays and/or racking according to drawings.
- Install telecommunications equipment in cabinets and frames, servers, switches, routers, repeaters, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls, as required.
- Identify, label, measure, terminate, and route cables for AC/DC power or data transmission.
- Conduct testing and document performance characteristics of hardware and software.
- Perform test and turn‑up as well as other integration activities.
- Resolve equipment and technical issues as they arise.
- Perform quality validation on in‑process and completed work.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Minimum 5+ years installation experience or a combination of experience and training as determined by management.
- Prior leadership experience required;
Verizon Commercial Premise Installation experience a plus. - High school diploma with two years technical school or equivalent training in telecommunications field installations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient laptop computer skills and experience with applications.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass background checks and be insurable.
- Knowledge of company/customer policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Must be able to comply with OSHA standards.
- Travel required within the home region using a company vehicle; overnight stays may be required. Expenses are 100% paid by the employer.
- Must be able to vertically lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
Base Pay Range
: $65,000 – $75,000 USD
In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
