Field Service Technician

Field Service Technician – Delivering exceptional service to Canon customers while maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, and fostering customer satisfaction.

As a Field Service Technician you will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot serviceability issues, and keep Canon-supported products operating at peak performance. You will report trends and maintain accurate records, support travel to customer sites, and work as a trusted partner to our service operations.

• Report product failure trends and serviceability issues to management with accurate documentation.
• Provide efficient, responsive, and accurate field, shop, or on‑site maintenance to meet customer demands.
• Maintain all technical information, field service reports, expense reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Showcase strong customer communication and satisfaction skills.
• Maintain the performance of assigned machines and facilitate performance to help achieve branch and district metric targets.

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and a willingness to complete required training, including a 120‑day introductory period and the PDIF (Printing and Digital Imaging Foundations) new‑hire class.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; ability to travel as required.
• Required to obtain security and/or customer clearances necessary to enter customer premises.
• Physical capability to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50 % of the time (walking, standing, stooping/kneeling).
• Compliance with customer policies and protocols, including COVID‑19 vaccination and other related measures.
